Hi. I’m Vanda.

It’s nice to meet you!

I’m a resourceful generalist driven by curiosity. I’m also really good at casual conversation about unimportant things, like the weather — it’s everywhere!

My design career is just entering high school. After graduating from the York University–Sheridan College Joint Program in Design with a Bachelor of Design (YSDN 2007), I spent the first five years of my career working in a variety of design studios in Toronto as a freelance designer.

For the next five years I was part of a small (but mighty) army of three at The Office of Gilbert Li, where I worked as a Senior Designer focusing on publication design and spearheading web projects for clients in the education and culture fields.

I’ve been working independently since 2018.

I’m interested in working with exceptional, hard-working (but kind) individuals who see design as part of their business strategy.

If you have a project you’d like to discuss, please reach out at hello@vanda.co. I’m currently available for both agency and client work.

It's like Wanda with a V.

My clients are some of the smartest and most driven individuals I’ve collaborated with. Here’s what some of them had to say about me.

Vanda is more than a graphic designer. She is a design professional that combines a refined aesthetic, humility, and a business-like approach to her work. Vanda has “T-shaped skills” and grit. She is a rare professional – and a unique designer – that will not lose enthusiasm or sacrifice quality in challenging engagements. Instead, she is open to collaboration and learning to ensure that her work delivers the right design and business objective. We count ourselves very lucky to work with her.

— Peter Aprile, Counter Tax Lawyers Founder (Client since 2015)

Vanda helped us design three books, evolve our website, and brand an art book fair. She’s a great collaborator, both technical and detail oriented, and is able to successfully execute complex projects and deliver on time. Most importantly, she gets us and our brand. We trust her and look forward to continuing our partnership with her.
